Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho never shies away from putting over the Jacksonville-based promotion and has once again made a bold claim about the company amidst negotiations with WBD. AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery are reportedly in discussions regarding the company's television programs.

Last week, AEW celebrated its 250th episode of Dynamite and presented us with one of the longest matches in the history of the promotion, Will Ospreay versus MJF for the International Championship. A Champion versus Champion match also took place between Kazuchika Okada and Swerve Strickland.

In a recent appearance on the Creative Imbalance podcast, FTW Champion Chris Jericho spoke about how special it is for Dynamite to reach 250 episodes. The veteran also dropped a clue about All Elite Wrestling's upcoming supposed WBD TV deal.

"It’s very gratifying because a lot of people didn’t think we’d make it past ten episodes. With all of the huge things we’ve accomplished, I think sometimes people forget we’re only five years old. We’re a five-year-old multi $100 million profitable company that has grown exponentially over the last five years. We still have a long way to go. To get to 250 is pretty special. The fact that we have a huge television deal coming up. That’s pretty much going to tell the tale of our company over the next five to ten years.

The former WWE Champion further shared his experience in being a part of All Elite Wrestling and claimed that the company is just beginning.

”I think its’ going to be a good tale to tell. For all the people that thought we wouldn’t exist or think that we’re not doing good, that’s just rhetoric. The bottom line is, we are making a lot of money and making a lot of inroads into the business. We’re having a great time doing it and providing an excellent show multiple times per week. That’s all anybody could ask of us. It’s been really cool to see and experience and be part of, and know that we’re basically just beginning.”

Chris Jericho successfully retained his FTW Title at AEW Dynamite

This week's AEW Dynamite was the Blood & Guts special, which saw some of the most brutal matchups including Chris Jericho versus Minoru Suzuki for the FTW Championship.

The match was full of hard-hitting moves including brutal chops exchanged between Suzuki and Jericho. The chops led to Y2J bleeding from his chest however, that did not stop the veteran from retaining his title. Chris Jericho low-blowed Minoru Suzuki and proceeded to hit the Judas Effect to defeat the Japanese legend.

Minoru Suzuki suffered a beatdown at the hands of the Learning Tree after the match but was saved by a returning Katsuyori Shibata. It will be interesting to see if the veteran is next in line for the FTW Title.
