Chris Jericho names 6-time world champion as the "best actor" from WWE ahead of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

WWE started its movie division in July 2002. However, pro wrestling and films have been connected in different ways for decades. Chris Jericho recently spoke about some of the biggest wrestlers-turned-actors, including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Batista.

Over the years, several top names from WWE, like Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper, have graced the silver screen. In the early 2000s, The Rock became one of the most significant talents to transition to Hollywood full-time. Former world champion Batista followed suit several years later, delivering remarkable performances in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie franchise.

In a chat with First We Feast: Truth or Dab: Rapid Fire, Chris Jericho named Batista the best wrestler-turned-actor ahead of The Rock. The Ocho praised The Animal's artistic diversity and work ethic.

"I would say the best actor of all of them is [Dave] Bautista. I think his work and his diversity, from what I've seen — I think he's the best actual actor. And then I'll put Dwayne Johnson, Cena, and Hulk Hogan after that. Although — 'Santa With Muscles?' Chef's kiss." (H/T WrestingInc)

Batista has starred in numerous top films over the years, including Spectre (2015) and the murder mystery Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022), showcasing his diversity.

Chris Jericho discusses leaving WWE for AEW

Chris Jericho was one of the first big names to sign with AEW upon its inception in 2019. He recently spoke out about the risks he faced when he switched companies.

"Probably leaving WWE to go with AEW. We didn't even have a TV [deal] at the time. Just my boss, Tony Khan, had a lot of passion, and he had the money for it, and we had a roster of guys that I felt could do something. When I got involved, we were able to get on TBS and kind of went from there. So I just think it was one of those things where I thought, 'I've done all I can do in WWE, and I can stay here, but I don't want to just stay here. I don't want to just be a guy. Wrestling fans will agree that The Ocho is one of the best talkers in the industry and has been instrumental in making AEW one of the top promotions in the world.

Jericho is no stranger to the entertainment industry as well since he is a part of the popular music band Fozzy.
