Chris Jericho proposes putting his hair on the line in a match against former WWE star

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho reflected on the idea of putting his hair on the line for a match against a popular former WWE Superstar. Jericho is set for a match against the star this month.

The former WWE star in question is Mistico (formerly known as Sin Cara in WWE). Mistico is slated for a match against Chris Jericho at the upcoming CMLL 91 Aniversario event on September 13, 2024. It will mark Jericho's first match in CMLL since 1995. Ahead of the bout, The Ocho proposed a stipulation match against Mistico.

In an interview during CMLL Informa, Jericho admitted that he would love to be in the Grand Prix and have a Mask vs. Hair Match potentially against Mistico while talking about his return:

"Yeah, I remember. I think I wrestled Atlantis at the first Grand Prix, if I remember correctly. Once again, I have such a great story and such a great history in Mexico that it makes perfect sense to come back to wrestle as much as I can. I would love to be in the Grand Prix, and I would love to do a mask versus hair match. All of the things that I’ve done in Mexico in the past, I would love to return to again. Chris Jericho wants to return to Mexico again

Ahead of his match against Mistico at the CMLL event this month, Chris Jericho also admitted that he would love to come back to Mexico many, many times:

"But I don’t think that this match versus Místico is the only time that I’ll return. I would like to come back many times. I love wrestling in Mexico; I love the fans, and there’s so many great luchadores in CMLL. Like I said, there’s no reason why I can’t come back many, many times." [H/T Post Wrestling]

It remains to be seen if The Learning Tree manages to win his match at the CMLL event and when he will return to AEW television.
