The FTW Champion Chris Jericho recently made a shocking appearance at a top promotion after 2 decades. The Ocho has finally revealed the reason for his arrival.
At the June 28th edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular, Chris Jericho made his surprising return to the promotion wearing a mask and launched a surprising attack on Mistico. The veteran went on to challenge the Luchador to a match which was later accepted by the former WWE star.
Following his brutal attack on Mistico, Jericho addressed his arrival to the promotion for the first time since 1995. Y2J sent a message to Mistico and claimed that he returned to CMLL to take his house back from the masked star.
"I'm very happy to be here. It's been a huge part of my life was Mexico and wrestling in Mexico City and living in Mexico City and all across the country, and I have gone to do so many great things in my career. Many people say I am the greatest of all time, but tonight, Yo soy el mejor luchador de todos los tiempos. Mistico, tú no estás en mi altura. Tú no estás en mi nida. Yo soy corazón de león. Tú eres corazón de ratón. Mistico, I will challenge you anytime, anyplace, anywhere. You say the word. You call Arena Mexico your house. 30 years ago, Arena Mexico was my house, and I'm coming back to take my house away from you." [H/T: Fightful]

Kevin Kelly praises Chris Jericho's Learning Tree Gimmick
The former WWE Champion has been playing The Learning Tree Character for the past few weeks in AEW. Jericho's gimmick was initially hated by many fans, however, the veteran has been receiving a lot of praise for reinventing himself and making his character work.
Speaking on Eric Bischoff's Wise Choices podcast, Kevin Kelly reflected on how Jericho likes to challenge himself and tries to do different gimmicks in professional wrestling.
"You can never discount Chris Jericho's ability to get new things over. It's like he always wants to challenge himself and do different things. It is where he sees himself at this time in his career, so let's look at it from that point of view. And I think that will help the audience embrace it. It is a little 'Inside Baseball' and I think that might be where some people miss out," Kevin Kelly said. [H/T WrestlingINC]
