CJ Perry just shared a heartbreaking personal update. She even asked fans for their prayers.
Perry was best known as Lana during her time in WWE when she played the role of Miro's manager. At a point in her WWE career, she became so popular that fans started chanting her name during Miro's matches. However, after she stopped managing Miro, her WWE career slowly dwindled and with very little wrestling skills, she was released from the company in 2021.
Recently, CJ Perry took to social media to reveal that her aging grandfather was suffering from cancer and was "very sick" from the chemotherapy. She also requested fans to pray for her grandfather.
"Please keep my grandfather in your prayers. He is fighting cancer at 93 and is very sick from chemotherapy. He would come to my shows over the years in wwe. He is the sweetest and kindest Papa I could have ever asked for," wrote Perry.

Following her release from the Stamford-based promotion, Perry joined AEW where she initially managed Andrade El Idolo before eventually betraying him. However, since then, she has not been seen on AEW television.
Liv Morgan saved herself and CJ Perry (fka Lana) from a potential fire incident
After being married to Miro for several years, CJ Perry and him have now parted ways. Following the separation, Perry was staying at her best friend, Liv Morgan's apartment. However, her stay nearly turned disastrous after she almost caused a fire incident.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Liv Morgan detailed how the former Lana almost started a fire in her apartment and she had to put it out. She narrated how Perry hit 'broil' on her microwave instead of 'bake' when trying to make tacos and the microwave caught fire. She thanked the wrestling business for having taught her how to use a fire extinguisher.
"So pretty much my oven went on fire and we’re like, oh my god. I know I have a fire extinguisher and I only know how to use a fire extinguisher because of Extreme Rules 2022. So I swear, in that moment, you don’t even know I’m like, Thank you wrestling. So I put out the oven fire and then it burst into flames again. And I’m like, Oh my gosh, so I put out the fire again. And then that was it," said Morgan.
Thankfully both CJ Perry and Liv Morgan were lucky to have escaped the whole ordeal unharmed.
