Wrestling fans on social media debated the topic of whether a top AEW star has been enjoying a better run than WWE Superstar CM Punk. The talent in question is Jack Perry.

It has been some time since AEW released the backstage footage of Perry's brawl with Punk at All In 2023 on Dynamite earlier this year. Since then, the former FTW Champion has made his television return as a member of The Elite and picked up a major victory on behalf of the stable by pinning Bryan Danielson to win the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2024.

Punk, on the other hand, has been out of action since the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble. However, that has not stopped the Best in the World from continuing to feud with Drew McIntyre on social media and television. Furthermore, the Chicago native recently cost The Scottish Psychopath the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle 2024.

A user recently took to X/Twitter to ask wrestling fans which of the two stars, CM Punk and Jack Perry, has had a better return to their respective promotion.

Fans flocked to X to respond to the tweet, with several users claiming that Punk's work in WWE since his 2023 return has been superior to Perry's, citing the buzz generated by his rivalry with McIntyre in spite of the two men not having locked horns yet as evidence.

Others argued that Perry needed the All In footage and his scuffle with Punk to boost his popularity, even though, they claim, he has failed to attract the same kind of audience investment as the latter in his ongoing program.

"Bias will say Luke Perrys son but CM punk is not even wrestling and is getting larger pops than Luke Perry’s son," tweeted a fan.
"Brother using CM Punk to elevate himself and it still ain't working. He can't draw a stick figure and he looks like he should be working at target," tweeted another fan.
"Nowhere near. The Elite story right now just doesn't click for me and CM Punk, while injured mind you, has got my full attention in this feud with Drew McIntyre," tweeted one user.

However, another section of users voiced their liking for Perry's run since his return at AEW Dynasty 2024, acknowledging the former FTW Champion for being able to wrestle injury-free while elevating himself in the Jacksonville-based promotion as a member of The Elite.

Jack Perry will challenge for the AEW TNT Title at Forbidden Door 2024

On AEW Dynamite after Double or Nothing 2024, The Young Bucks were about to award the now-vacated TNT Championship to Jack Perry. However, Christopher Daniels, who had been fired by The Jackson Brothers some time earlier, interrupted the proceedings and revealed that the title would be on the line in a Ladder Match at Forbidden Door 2024.

The Scapegoat took on Dustin Rhodes in one of the qualifiers for the ladder match on the June 12, 2024 edition of Dynamite. After a hard-fought and bloody battle, Perry picked up the win over The Natural.
