Former WWE and AEW World Champion CM Punk recreated his famous spot from last year during AEW All In at SummerSlam 2024. A fan on social media took notice of the spot.
After months and months of animosity building up between the two, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre were finally set to lock horns at the SummerSlam PLE this year. The match was announced after Punk got medically cleared months after the tricep injury he suffered during the men's Royal Rumble 2024 match at the hands of McIntyre.
Apart from Punk and Drew, Seth Rollins also got involved in the match as the special guest referee. During the match, Punk got rammed through the announce table by McIntyre which was seemingly a callback from AEW All In 2023, where Samoa Joe did the same to the Second City Saint during their match in a memorable moment.
