Former AEW World Champion CM Punk has been very quiet ever since he got fired by Tony Khan in September. There are rumors that he might make his return to WWE, but that has not stopped him from appearing on another promotion.

The promotion in question is none other than Cage Fury Fighting Championships, also known as CFFC. Punk does the commentary job there, and he took to Instagram to post a story on his latest action.

He posted a picture sitting at the commentary table and titled it, “WE ARE LIVE!!!!! @ufcfightpass.” He also appeared doing the same role last month, and that was his first appearance after being let go by AEW under acrimonious circumstances.

CJ Perry sheds light on alleged fight between Miro and CM Punk

CM Punk was involved in a backstage scuffle with Jack Perry at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. That eventually led him to get fired from the Jacksonville-based promotion.

During the same show, there were rumors that he also got into a physical altercation with Miro, although it was debunked immediately. Miro’s wife, CJ Perry, has shed more light on the incident in an interview with Haus of Wrestling and also revealed how her husband tried to play with her by telling her the fight was real.

“But I was like, ‘What are you doing?’ You know? Like, ‘Why? Why? Why are you doing that?’ And then also, there’s a part of me that knew I was debuting, I’m like, ‘Oh, God. Can we just lay low, please? Can we just like lay low? And you're gonna be picking at the showrunner? Are you insane?' So, I was getting hot. And then, the next thing I hear is Miro was pissed that CM Punk went to the dirt sheets and said he was joking. And I’m like, ‘Were you joking?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah.’ I’m like, ‘Wait, what?’ So then for, like, five hours or until that time, he was selling the whole story to me like it was real. Selling it to me like it was all real. And I’m like, ‘So, wait, you’re telling me it was a joke?’ He tells me the story of how CM Punk is like, 'Do you have a problem with me?' He's like, 'Yeah,' and CM Punk goes, 'You want to fight?', CJ Perry said. [H/T Haus of Wrestling]

CJ Perry and Miro are involved in a storyline where the two have chosen their separate ways. It will be interesting to see how their dynamic develops going forward.
