CM Punk subtly references AEW incident immediately following WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

CM Punk recently made an interesting remark during the post-WWE Survivor Series: WarGames press conference, which brought back memories of an infamous incident. The Second City Saint is seemingly back to trolling his former promotion.

The main event of WWE Survivor Series saw the OG Bloodline take on Bloodline 2.0 in a five-on-five WarGames match. The Solo Sikoa-led faction had the numbers advantage in the initial stages of the bout. However, once things settled down, Roman Reigns and Co. proved to be the better side, and The OTC got the pinfall after hitting a Spear on Sikoa.

During the post-WWE Survivor Series press conference, CM Punk joined The Usos and Sami Zayn to answer a few questions. At one point, Punk suddenly asked if someone could hand him some muffins, a throwback to him eating the dessert during the post-All Out scrum in 2022, moments before the Brawl Out incident.

"Somebody give me some muffins," said CM Punk.

Whether The Second City Saint did it intentionally or not is anyone's guess. But most likely, he saw this as an opportunity to take a subtle shot at AEW.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for CM Punk after Survivor Series and what his favor from Paul Heyman could be.
