CM Punk does the unthinkable, crashes AEW star's interview at the San Diego Comic-Con

Several WWE and AEW stars attended this year's San Diego Comic-Con and CM Punk was one of them. During the convention, he crashed an AEW star's interview. The star in question is Danhausen.

The annual comic book convention and multi-genre entertainment event kicked off on Thursday, July 25, and will continue until Sunday, July 28.

Backstage at San Diego Comic-Con, Denise Salcedo caught up with AEW star Danhausen for a brief interview. Within a few seconds, WWE's CM Punk can be seen crashing their conversation. The two wrestling stars then shared a few words of silly banter related to sandwiches.

"Pepsi Phil" and Mr. Very Nice Very Evil got close during the former's stint in All Elite Wrestling. The Second City Saint didn't have many friends in Tony Khan's promotion but has a great friendship with Danhausen. The two stars still share a strong bond and often take friendly shots at each other on social media.

CM Punk recalls his most memorable moment in AEW

CM Punk had a brief run in AEW, albeit a good one (except for the suspension part). In a recent interview with Debise Salcedo, The Second City Saint recalled his most memorable match/moment in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Punk stated that when he thinks about it the first thing that comes to mind is his match with Darby Allin. He even mentioned that the face-painted star is his friend.

"Darby Allin immediately comes to mind. Darby's a friend of mine... I like to think that that was a special moment for Darby, being a straight-edged kid, being the one that kind of lured CM Punk back into the ring and getting my first match back after six or seven years or whatever it was," he said.

The Best in the World fought Darby Allin in his debut match for the promotion. The match took place at 2021 All Out PPV which saw Punk emerge victorious. This bout also marked Punk's return to the ring after a seven-year hiatus from pro wrestling.
