CM Punk will return to WWE within a year and a half, declares legend: "They can make that special one run"

A wrestling legend has something to say to anyone who thinks CM Punk is finished with the world of wrestling. The same veteran has predicted that the Straight Edge Superstar will return to WWE. When it was revealed that the Stamford-based company had nixed any thought of Punk returning, fans were disheartened, but the wrestling legend in question, Dutch Mantell, had something else to say to fans.

On his podcast, Storytime with Dutch Mantell, the veteran, who has had stints in WCW, WWE, TNA, ECW, and IWA, registered his faith in Punk and in the fact that WWE can work wonders for Punk's one last run.

"I predicted he'd go. He's not gonna go. But, I am gonna go on record by saying - I think we will see him, CM Punk, within a year and a half. Because, and I have sped that up a little bit - I think he has one final run in WWE, that they can make special. I really do. And if they got around him and he wants to go out on top, this is the last match ever, you know, in WWE, I think they'd have to say that. I think they can make that special one run and I think it's coming up in around a year and a half," he said. [19: 20 - 19:42]

Did The Undertaker drop a CM Punk reference on NXT?

CM Punk is famous for his in-ring promos, including the mind-blowing 'pipebomb' he gave in WWE. His mannerisms and antics are a class unto themselves.

It was pretty surprising when the Undertaker appeared to copy one of Punk's mannerisms when the Phenom made an appearance on WWE NXT on October 10. Interestingly, this NXT episode was at the center of the Tuesday Night Ratings War along with AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday. Earlier, The Undertaker had said that he had no "personal beef" with Punk.
