A major name was recently asked whether he was open to working with Cody Rhodes if given an opportunity to in the future. He claimed that he was open to this, but only if it was short-term. This would be Arn Anderson.
Anderson worked as the manager and coach for Rhodes and the Nightmare Family a few years ago when the WWE Superstar was still with the Jacsonville-based promotion. Recently, Cody had also talked about wanting a traditional manager during his contract signing with Logan Paul as he saw the huge entourage that The Maverick had.
While he was on the Busted Open Radio, Arn Anderson talked about his reaction to those words from Cody Rhodes. He wondered if he was setting him up for a final run on the promotion, and he appreciated this.
“I wonder what that was about. What was he setting me up for in that deal? I did [hear what Rhodes said], and I was very humbled and appreciative, and he allowed me to have some fun on my way out, which I thought I was way past that. So, I was very appreciative of that.”

He then revealed whether he was in a condition to take up a role like this. He revealed that he could be open to something more short-term, but mentioned that he has never had serious talks with Cody about this.
“Well, in case you don’t know, I am 65, and my liver is 127. I am on short time, and I don’t have a lot of time. Would I come back in the right situation for a short-term something with Cody? If anybody out there thinks it’s a good idea, let me know. I don’t know. That would be something because he and I have never had that conversation. We had a couple texts back and forth, and it never came up. So I went, maybe that was just him testing the waters himself.” [H/T - Wrestletalk]
Arn Anderson recently had praise for Cody Rhodes
During his ARN podcast, the veteran talked about Cody Rhodes' recent success, as he currently stands as the Undisputed WWE Champion and the man who ended Roman Reigns' long-time reign.
He praised Cody Rhodes, talking about his ability to do everything thrown at him, including working long matches and working at the same level throughout the whole match.
"I mean, all these positive things, and he's a guy that if you need 40 minutes tonight, no question. 'Cody, you got 40 minutes in you?' Not a problem. Everybody can't do that and continue to keep the level that that you need to for a 40-45-minute match. They know what they got and they're glad to get him back, and you can tell that he's an all-around pro." [H/T - Fightful]
At this point, it remains to be seen whether a reunion between Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes could happen soon. Seeing as he is in a feud once more with AJ Styles, and the list of his challengers has not been ending, he may be in need of some assistance to handle things on WWE SmackDown.
