A major star has re-signed with AEW. The star in question is WWE legend Dustin Rhodes. He has been part of the Jacksonville-based company since its inception. Fans on X/Twitter have now reacted to the development.

The Natural's contract with All Elite Wrestling expired in October 2024, but he kept working for the company while negotiations for a new deal were underway. He recently took to X/Twitter to reveal that he had signed a multi-year agreement with AEW and would continue his journey in the promotion.

AEW fans were excited to hear that the 13-time WWE champion officially became All Elite again. Before joining the Tony Khan-led company, he held the Intercontinental Championship three times, the Hardcore Title seven times, and the Tag Team Championship thrice.

Many X/Twitter users congratulated Dustin on signing a new deal with All Elite Wrestling and highlighted how he was an asset to the organization.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

"Congrats Dustin! Well deserved! AEW is lucky to have you," wrote a fan.
"Awesome news. Happy for you Dustin," a person wrote.

Some fans wanted to see Dustin Rhodes return to WWE as Goldust. Meanwhile, others wanted him to have a run with his brother Cody Rhodes, who is in WWE.

"Man, I really wish we would’ve had a brotherhood tag team title run in AEW," a tweet read.
"Not gonna lie I would have loved to see you and Cody working together one last time," a person commented.

Dustin's latest match came at ROH Final Battle 2024, where he and Sammy Guevara defeated The Righteous.

WWE legend Dustin Rhodes plans to retire in AEW

In his AEW re-signing announcement on X/Twitter, Dustin Rhodes expressed how honored and respected he felt in the Tony Khan-led promotion. The Natural even wrote that he would like to retire in All Elite Wrestling.

"I will finish my career here at #AEW as I feel it is home to me. I have never felt respected and wanted like I have here. This makes me want to do my very best for Tony [Khan] and push myself harder than I ever have. I feel loved and wanted here. I love all of our roster deeply."

The 55-year-old veteran is currently one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions alongside Sammy Guevara and one-third of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions alongside Marshall and Ross Von Erich.
