Sammy Guevara just achieved another major milestone in his career. He made the announcement himself on social media.
Sammy Guevara is considered one of the pillars of AEW. He was one of the original members and has been involved in several important storylines and matches throughout the company's history.
He has also had his fair share of controversial moments in the company - the most recent of which was when he injured Jeff Hardy in the ring. He received a suspension for failing to follow protocol and immediately ending the match.
However, after returning from his suspension, Guevara has also started to become a regular feature on ROH where he formed a successful tag team with Dustin Rhodes. Together, they captured the ROH World Tag Team Championships from The Undisputed Kingdom back in August.

Jim Cornette believes AEW should give up on Sammy Guevara
Sammy Guevara was once a top star in AEW. His involvement with Chris Jericho for the first few years boosted his career to new heights. However, in recent months, he hasn't been involved in many big moments on AEW TV. While he is still one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, his singles career in the Jacksonville-based promotion hasn't been the same. Since September, he has competed in three televised singles matches and lost all of them.
Speaking on his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette claimed that the experiment with the former TNT Champion is over since he hasn't been pushed after making his return. He also believes that Sammy has upset some people and they have given up on the star:
"Let's face it. Sammy is over as an experiment. I'm not saying over as a draw with fans. I'm talking over, as in time's up as an experiment. If they weren't going to bring him back with a major push after he's been gone for this long at least from our eyesight doing Ring of Honor or whatever the f**k, then apparently he has just pissed off people that they've given up. And I'm not saying that he should have beaten Shelton Benjamin or been in any way competitive with him. No! Farther from this was the best thing in the program. I'm just saying, Sammy, ain't gonna make it," said Jim Cornette. [From 1:50 to 2:44]
It will be interesting to see whether Sammy Guevara will be able to climb up the singles ranks again in AEW.
