On this week's Dynamite, Cope entered the squared circle and delivered a passionate promo. The Rated-R Superstar recently made his return to the company after being sidelined for months due to injury.

The abovementioned promo was directed towards Jon Moxley and his faction, The Death Riders. After the Hall of Famer concluded his promo, Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli began making their way to the ring. Within a few seconds, former AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR showed up, and an all-out brawl took place.

Amid the chaos, the legend came face to face with the Death Riders' only female member, Marina Shafir. The former TNT Champion was seemingly close to striking the 36-year-old. However, he eventually changed his mind. This made for an uncomfortably messy moment on TV.

The faction took advantage of this situation and managed to neutralize the WWE Hall of Famer. Moxley even began choking Cope, but Powerhouse Hobbs' arrival forced the stable to retreat.

Earlier that night, Hobbs won a Casino Gauntlet match. He is now the number one contender for Moxley's AEW World Championship. The two will lock horns for the title next week on Dynamite.

Cope calls himself a "different animal"

In his promo on Dynamite, Cope highlighted his never-give-up attitude toward professional wrestling and how he won matches against Eddie Guerrero and Malakai Black despite being injured. He called himself a "different animal" because even after years of agony, he was still a full-time professional wrestler.

"No one has fought through what I’ve fought through to be standing in this ring, and I will die on that hill because I am an entirely different animal. I broke my neck in a match with Eddie Guerrero and I got up and won that match. I broke my leg in a match with Malakai Black and I got up, wrestled ten more minutes and won that match," he said.
