Mariah May has a daunting task at AEW Forbidden Door this weekend. Ahead of the pay-per-view, her longtime friend and partner, Mina Shirakawa, gushed over the 25-year-old.

AEW's Mariah May is currently being pulled in two different directions, but she seems to be playing both sides well. She's advertised to be in the corners of both her mentor, Toni Storm, and her good friend, Mina Shirakawa. The catch is Storm and Shirakawa are facing off for the AEW Women's World Championship at the pay-per-view.

May has idolized 'Timeless' Toni Storm, but she's also shared the battleground of the squared circle with Mina Shirakawa during their days together in World Wonder Ring Stardom. Ahead of the PPV event, the Artist of Stardom Champion expressed her love for Mariah on the Grapsody podcast.

"I love Mariah. Mariah loves me. I feel Toni Storm only loves Mariah because Mariah dresses up as Toni. Me and Mariah’s feelings are more real," Mina said.

Shirakawa further stated that she plans to have a celebration with Mariah May in New York after she wins the AEW Women's World Championship.

"Mariah and I have a party with champagne after winning since we were in Japan together. I want to do a party with champagne in New York. I love whiskey. Champagne is very expensive. It is useful in the ring, but in private, I want to drink highball with Mariah. I want to look for the best highball in New York," Shirakawa added. [H/T: Fightful]

Mariah May claims to love both Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa

It's unknown how Mariah May plans to be in the corners of both 'Timeless' Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa this Sunday, but it's clear that she isn't letting the rivalry get in the way of her love for both women.

Mariah has appeared in video packages for both Storm and Shirakawa, and some fans believe the young star is utilizing the drama to put herself in the spotlight. That theory may have gained some steam after May showed off a poster on her official X account featuring herself front and center:

Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa will clash for the AEW Women's World Championship this Sunday at UBS Arena on Long Island. No matter what happens in the match, it's a good bet that Mariah May will walk out as a winner.
