While several WWE Superstars jumped ship since AEW's inception, the Tony Khan-led promotion has also lost some of its biggest names like CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Jade Cargill to the Stamford-based company. Furthermore, a few of these signings are currently champions in WWE.
Former AEW star Ethan Page currently holds the NXT Championship. He won the title at NXT Heatwave by defeating Trick Williams, Je'Von Evans, and Shawn Spears in a Fatal Four-Way Match. The 34-year-old was signed to Tony Khan's promotion from 2021 to 2024. Even though he didn't win any championships there, he was involved in major feuds and locked horns with some prominent names. Interestingly, on X (formerly Twitter), Page implied that he quit his previous job and joined WWE.
All Ego recently quote-reposted a photo that was originally posted by USA Network. The image showcased a fan holding a sign that reads "I quit my job to be here." The current NXT Champion stated that his situation was exactly like hers.
"Me too lady," wrote Page
Ethan Page called AEW "unorganized"
All Ego Ethan Page was recently interviewed by Talk’n Shop. During the conversation, he praised his current employer and the WWE Performance Center. He stated that he was having the time of his life in NXT and added, that unlike AEW, the development brand was organized and peaceful.
"I went from somewhere that was so chaotic and unorganized to a place that, I mean I’m still learning because I’m still so new here, but this is a machine and it’s incredible. It feels good to not feel like I have to do everything myself. To have people that want to see me succeed is kind of mind blowing," said Page. [H/T: Wrestling Headlines]
Ethan Page also wrestled for TNA from 2017 to 2021, where he won the Impact World Tag Team Championship twice.
