A former WWE star made her AEW debut against Hikaru Shida recently. Soon after, a current SmackDown women's champion reacted to the star's debut. This was Isla Dawn reacting to Aleah James' debut on this week's edition of AEW Collision.

Aleah wrestled for the WWE for a few years under its NXT UK banner. During this time, she would lock horns with some of the best women's wrestlers on the roster. She also got to share the locker room with the likes of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

While both Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn went on to NXT and then got called up to the main roster where they are now WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Aleah James' career took a different path. She wasn't brought onto NXT when NXT UK closed down. Her last match for the brand was against Stevie Turner in 2022.

After her stint in WWE came to an end, she continued to work on the independent scene. More than two years later, Aleah James has now made her AEW debut this week against Hikaru Shida. Following her debut, Isla Dawn took to social media and shared her reaction to it.

Britt Baker opens up on her first match after her return against Hikaru Shida

Britt Baker missed several months of action due to health-related issues. However, she made her return at AEW Forbidden Door and will wrestle Mercedes Mone at AEW All In. Last week on AEW Dynamite, she competed in her first singles match since returning from injury against Hikaru Shida.

During an interview with Ringside Collectibles, Baker mentioned how she was "thrown into the fire" by AEW which made her nervous. Ultimately, Baker prevailed in the bout with a submission victory, post which she was attacked by Kamille.

“So wait, I didn’t just have a return match. They [AEW] threw me into the fire. They said, 'Here, your first match back, you’re gonna wrestle the longest-reigning women’s champion ever, [Hikaru] Shida!' So, I was so nervous for that match," she said. [H/T - Wrestle Talk]
