A budding WWE Superstar and former champion recently fired a sneaky shot at his rival Ethan Page, referencing his past in AEW. The individual in question is Trick Williams.

"All Ego" Ethan Page left All Elite Wrestling in May 2024 after a three-year tenure. Soon after, he signed with WWE, debuting on NXT by attacking then-NXT Champion Trick Williams, whom the Canadian star dethroned for the belt at Heatwave 2024. The two men are scheduled to square off for the NXT Title on this show, with former AEW World Champion and current RAW superstar CM Punk set to serve as the Special Guest Referee.

Williams posted a diss track on social media aimed at Page ahead of their upcoming championship match. In it, he alluded to the 35-year-old star's past alliance with Scorpio Sky, whom Page tagged with in AEW as Men of the Year.

“I’m the man of the year, no Scorpio Sky,” rapped Trick Williams in his diss track.

Before this, Williams had also released a diss track against Pete Dunn, whom he had been feuding with last month.

Ethan Page's recent comments on his AEW exit

Toward the end of his run in All Elite Wrestling, Ethan Page did not feature much on television, competing primarily on AEW's sister promotion ROH, except for his match against Kenny Omega on Collision in December 2023.

The Ontario native jumped ship to WWE some time ago and has already succeeded in the Stamford-based company's developmental brand, where he reigns as the NXT Champion.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Page reflected on his All Elite departure, suggesting that the sports entertainment juggernaut offered him the opportunity to showcase his skills in a way that the Tony Khan-led promotion could not.

"It was time. Yeah, it was time. And I wasn't getting what I magically got here, which was the opportunity to show what I bring to the table," Ethan said.

It remains to be seen if Ethan Page will retain his belt against Trick Williams this week on NXT.
