Danhausen surprisingly chose a WWE Hall of Famer over CM Punk as the GOAT of wrestling. This even surprised the latter.
CM Punk and Danhausen have been very good friends in real life since their time in AEW. The two stars often mess around with each other on social media, and that was the case when they bumped into each other at the San Diego Comic-Con.
The AEW star was speaking to Denise Salcedo when The Second City Saint gatecrashed his interview. Then, the interviewer asked him who his GOAT of wrestling was. He answered Bret Hart over many known stars.
Then, Danhausen chose CM Punk over the Undertaker and Roman Reigns. However, Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil ditched the WWE star in favor of Sting. It just goes to show how much the WCW icon is still respected in the company despite retiring in March.

Former WWE star thinks CM Punk cursed AEW
Former WWE star Matt Morgan has claimed that CM Punk's departure from AEW has cursed them, comparing it to Babe Ruth leaving the Boston Red Sox for the New York Yankees.
Punk attracts many fans, and despite what happened in AEW, there are fans who still like him, and rightly so. In a recent edition of the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan said:
"'I was scared for my life' will never stop haunting that company. That's gonna be the Babe Ruth, you know? The curse of the Bambino for the Red Sox when they traded away a pitcher named Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees as he went on to become the GOAT. Obviously, CM Punk was already a major star. Obviously, I'm not saying he wasn't but what a bumble. What a bumble, bumble move."
That makes sense, given that Tony Khan’s company has been having some issues ever since CM Punk left AEW. Meanwhile, despite his injury, the latter still attracts a lot of eyeballs to WWE.
