Daniel Garcia reveals the one person he spoke to before signing with AEW despite WWE rumors

Daniel Garcia recently re-signed with AEW despite rumors of him going to WWE. He now revealed who he spoke to before he made his decision.

Daniel Garcia is good friends with Isiah Kassidy. Garcia has been the talk of the town in recent months ever since the reports about his contract expiry broke out. There were also reports that WWE was interested in him and it seemed like a possibility that he would head to the Stamford-based promotion.

However, that didn't happen as Garcia announced a few weeks ago that he chose to re-sign with AEW, putting those WWE rumors to rest. Garcia recently did an interview with Uncrowned where he said that the only person he spoke to before re-signing with Tony Khan's promotion was Isiah Kassidy:

"If you look at the reports and stuff, nobody ever had any information on me, ever, because I don't tell anybody anything," Garcia claimed. "The only [person] I talk to is Isiah [Kassidy]. And that's really the person who really knew anything that I had going on." [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

Daniel Garcia revealed why he chose to re-sign with AEW

Daniel Garcia's decision to re-sign with AEW turned a lot of heads because many people believed that he would be headed to WWE just like Ethan Page did earlier this year. However, his decision to stay got a lot of people wondering the reason why he chose to stay.

Speaking to Renee Paquette on the AEW Close Up podcast, Garcia said that he chose AEW because he believes in it:

He said, “AEW has a lot of momentum right now. This is where the people who are the best in the world choose to be. Okada. Ospreay. Mercedes. Me. All in one year. This is where we want to be.
