After making a major announcement regarding one of the company's recent milestones, a certain AEW name has just claimed that Darby Allin assaulted him. This would be Mark Sterling.
Allin has always had a daredevil personality, which is evident from his in-ring work. However, one thing that has stood out to many was his morals, as he has always stood by what he believed in. He has recently been dealing with the Blackpool Combat Club, which wants to take over AEW.
On X/Twitter, Mark Sterling posted a picture of himself alongside Darby Allin, The Outrunners, and the mayor of Springfield. In the photo, he was holding a document that, according to him, was a mandate to make September 21 the AEW Day in Springfield. He then added some extra information, saying how Darby assaulted him after the photo was taken.
"Three freaks, a professional and a Mayor! Tomorrow is officially AEW day in Springfield, MA, my hometown! http://Aewtix.com It’s great to be back…can’t wait to leave again! Btw… Darby assaulted me directly after this picture was taken. @AEW," said Sterling.
Darby Allin got into another fight earlier this week
No one has been safe during AEW Dynamite as Jon Moxley and his new faction have wreaked havoc on whoever stands in their way. Earlier this week, another famous tag team fell victim to them. This would be Private Party.
At one point in the night, the two groups got into a brawl, and BCC came on top. Mox even gifted them, striking Isiah Kassidy's hand with a hammer.
Darby Allin took that moment to strike, blindsiding Claudio Castagnoli with his skateboard before going after Jon Moxley. In the end, Mox was able to escape.
These two will clash next week at Dynamite: Grand Slam, with Darby's AEW World Championship opportunity on the line. It remains to be seen who gets the chance to face Bryan Danielson.
