Former AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR consist of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood. Over the years, they have wrestled in numerous promotions. Furthermore, they are widely considered one of the most talented tag teams in the modern era.
Recently, one half of the duo, Dax Harwood, released a statement on X (fka Twitter). According to him, FTR was involved in the best-ever tag team matches in the history of WWE, AEW, ROH, and NJPW. He claimed that their matches/rivalry with DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) in WWE were unmatched. Furthermore, he stated that even though 2024 was a not-so-good year for the duo, they will "revive" tag team wrestling next year.
"Arguably the greatest tag match in…AEW history, WWE history, NJPW history, ROH history, Who else? 2024, we took a step back. 2025, we revive Tag Team Wrestling. Come along for the ride. Top Guys, out," wrote Harwood.
FTR was known as The Revival in the WWE. Wheeler's onscreen name was Dash Wilder, while Harwood was known as Scott Dawson.
FTR's Dax Harwood on the duo's 2025 goal
Harwood was recently interviewed by 3NT Wrestling. During that, he said that next year, he and Wheeler will continue taking All Elite Wrestling to new heights and strengthen their relationship with their streaming partner, Max.
"Now 2025 is rolling around, and I feel like we might have done ourselves a disservice in 2024 by being maybe a little too giving—keeping ourselves in the background a bit too much. For 2025, I want to continue building AEW, growing our television shows, and strengthening our relationship with Max now that we’ve started streaming there," said Dax Harwood. [H/T: Wrestlezone]
Wheeler and Harwood (FTR) are two-time NXT Tag Team Champions and two-time WWE RAW Tag Team Champions. They have also held the IWGP Tag Team Championship once.
