Dax Harwood has passionately reacted to claims of Tony Khan suddenly firing a former WWE name from AEW. This was great to see as he successfully defended his boss.
Jimmy Jacobs joined AEW in June 2023 after he finished with Impact Wrestling, and he joined Tony Khan in the creative hot seat. It was recently reported that Jacobs has effectively resigned from his position in the promotion, but it's said that he and the company parted on good terms.
Podcast host JDfromNY suggested on X that there could be more to it than meets the eye and offered his theory that Jacobs had been fired and used as a scapegoat. However, Dax Harwood hit back and defended Tony Khan in a passionate response. He wrote:
“Dude. I feel so sorry for you. Like, we get that you’re a mark and you love that another company makes you feel special, but my God dude, If I hated something as much as you hate AEW & Tony, I’d just stop watching it. Right?! It’s almost stalker-like how infatuated you are with Tony and this company. You make it pretty obvious that you’re a mark. I’m a mark too!! But I don’t make YouTube channels to yell and scream about an owner of a company not giving me what I want. I just enjoy wrestling! I’m doing real life things, like, paying my mortgage, making sure the bills are taken care of, my tequila cabinet is full. But you? You’re making tweets & videos about the AEW product 😂.”
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
He continued:
“I’m sure you’ll say, “omg this guy is riding AEW” or “guys, look at him sticking up for the company he works for. What an idiot, right?” But my God man, we get it! You love Smackdown and RAW. F**king go watch it! Leave us alone! Lol. Ayway, HOG has asked for FTR to be a part of their show. I hope to see you there brother!!”
Jimmy Jacobs worked with Tony Khan on Chris Jericho’s new faction
Tony Khan has seen several versions of Chris Jericho during his time in AEW, and the Learning Tree is yet another evolution for the veteran.
Many fans believed that the idea of the Learning Tree originated from former AEW employee Jimmy Jacobs but that is not the case. Fightful Select has reported that while Jacobs did directly work with the WWE legend on how to bring about the new faction, he was not the mastermind behind it.
The sources in the report have also claimed that while Jacobs was not aware of how things worked in AEW when he joined, he was keen to learn from the likes of Tony Khan.
