Deonna Purrazzo has worked with some of the most talented wrestling stars in different promotions. However, she recently ruled out competing against the daughter of a renowned WWE Hall of Famer.

The star belonging to wrestling royalty is Tessa Blanchard, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard. She came to prominence for her impressive size, strength, and dominance inside the squared circle. This even led her to a run as the TNA World Champion.

Towards the end of 2024, Blanchard returned to TNA at their Final Resolution pay-per-view as an official member of the roster. She immediately targeted the former Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace, and both women are set to collide against each other at the upcoming TNA Genesis event on January 19.

A fan on X tweeted that they wanted to see current AEW star Deonna Purrazzo compete against Tessa Blanchard after her high-profile match against Grace. The Virtuosa took notice and responded via her X, outrightly refusing to battle Tessa.

What could be the reason for Deonna Purrazzo refusing a match against Tessa Blanchard?

Deonna Purrazzo potentially has a strong reason for refusing a match against Tessa Blanchard in the future. This could be linked to the allegations against her in 2020 that garnered major attention.

Blanchard was accused of bullying and racism by one of Deonna's close friends and current WWE United States Champion, Chelsea Green. The SmackDown Superstar claimed that she had faced a lot of harassment and bullying at the hands of Tessa, allegations that she had originally denied in the past.

Purrazzo, on the other hand, has become a key player in the AEW women's division. She last competed on the January 4 edition of Collison against Toni Storm. Moreover, with The Virtuosa seemingly moving past the discussion of battling Tessa Blanchard, it remains to be seen whether 2025 could bring her more success in AEW than last year.
