One of the most unique performers currently active in the pro wrestling industry, Danhausen, recently made an unexpected appearance at an event organised by AEW's sister-promotion, Ring of Honor. The 34-year-old star has not competed in the Tony Khan-led company since the end of last year.
ROH recently presented the 2024 edition of Final Battle at the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom. The event featured a singles match between CMLL star Atlantis Jr. and Mansoor of MxM Collection. The latter's tag partner, Mason Madden, attempted to interfere and help his teammate secure the win during the bout, but his efforts would eventually be thwarted by an individual in a Danhausen mask sneaking up on him after crawling out from underneath the ring.
The wrestler proceeded to take off the mask to reveal Danhausen himself, before taking out Madden with a punch to his crotch. His involvement eventually enabled Atlantis Jr. to score the win on Mansoor.

Fans jumped on to X/Twitter to share their responses to Danhausen showing up at ROH: Final Battle. Users invoked former AEW World Tag Team Champion and icon Sting in reference to the Michigan native wearing a mask that captured the likeness of his face-paint beneath it, and similarly invoked WWE's Rey Mysterio wearing multiple masks. Fans also expressed their excitement over Danhausen's return to ROH, and over a prospective run for the star on the brand.
"Glad he's back," posted a fan.

The "Very Nice, Very Evil" star competed on ROH in February this year, although he was last seen in action in an AEW ring at the Zero-Hour pre-show to Worlds End 2023. As of late, however, he has been plying the independent circuit.
Danhausen thanked top industry names for helping with AEW signing
Danhausen made his first appearance in All Elite Wrestling at Dynamite: Beach Break 2022 during a Lights Out match between Adam Cole and eventual ally, Orange Cassidy. During an interview with Marcus Buff Bagwell earlier this month, the former Kid Gorgeous credited top industry names like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Chris Jericho, and even the Freshly Squeezed star for helping him secure an AEW contract.
"I showed up to say hello to people. To their credit, Cody Rhodes said, 'Are you doing something tonight?' I said, 'No, my leg is broken.' He said, 'I'll make sure you're doing something tonight.' So, Cody, I think, had a little bit to do with helping me get a job there... I believe Pepsi Phil [CM Punk] had something to help with that. I believe Chris Judas [Chris Jericho] had something to help with that because I did his cruise. Orange Cassidy, I believe helped," said Danhausen. [H/T - Fightful]
It remains to be seen if Danhausen will return to All Elite programming at any point in the immediate future.
