WCW veteran Disco Inferno recently stated that he had his doubts a former WWE Superstar would ever sign a deal with AEW. The star being discussed is Shane McMahon.
The 54-year-old star was one of the key stars in WWE's Attitude Era. He was known for his hardcore matches during that period. Later, in 2016, he returned to the company as an authoritative figure and was regularly featured on TV until 2020. His latest appearance happened in WrestleMania 39, where he sustained an injury and hasn't been seen since.
Shane McMahon was again the center of attention as rumors of him having had talks with AEW surfaced last month. Recently, he also bumped into TBS Champion Mercedes Mone at the New York airport and the two reportedly even discussed about AEW.
While speaking on Keeping It 100 OFFICIAL, WCW veteran Disco Inferno revealed he doesn't believe Shane-O-Mac will join the Jacksonville-based promotion and questioned what his role could even be in the company.

AEW President Tony Khan says he is open to talking with Shane McMahon
Tony Khan recently acknowledged the rumors and possibility of the 54-year-old star joining the Jacksonville-based promotion.
While speaking with Maggie and Perloff, Tony claimed that he had never met Shane and was open to talking to him about a possible deal. Khan also claimed that he was open to talking to the former WWE star and concluded that Shane was always welcome at AEW.
"Shane McMahon is somebody that I've never met, but he has a lot of experience in wrestling and a lot friends in AEW. I have never really had any conversations with him or talked to him ever. I know he ran into Mercedes Mone after Forbidden Door, which is a cool coincidence. I have never met him. I'd be open to talking to him, and he's welcome to stop by at any time," Khan said.
It will be interesting to see if Shane McMahon really does join the Jacksonville-based promotion in the future.
