According to recent rumors, WWE legend Shane McMahon could join forces with the Tony Khan-led AEW. The 54-year-old is the son of former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Shane hasn't featured on the Triple H-led promotion since WrestleMania 39.

The topic of Shane's arrival in AEW was triggered by the company's commentator and McMahon's long-time friend, Jim Ross. The legendary commentator revealed that he had spoken to Shane O'Mac several times. Recently, his co-host, Conrad Thompson, revealed that Shane McMahon had reached out to some wrestlers in the Jacksonville-based promotion about a possible debut.

"There was a friend of ours. He went out of his way to text me, 'Hey, that's not as crazy as you think!' I know for sure that Shane McMahon has reached out to wrestlers on the AEW roster to at least hypothetically discuss the idea," Conrad Thompson said on the Grilling Jr. podcast.

Fans are divided on whether they want to see The Prodigal Son join AEW in 2024.

''Do it, @TonyKhan! You can do a big angle with him,'' a fan said.

Some fans explained how the decision to bring Shane to the company could potentially backfire on them.

"This has the potential to backfire in AEW’s face as badly as CM Punk did. No, nada, nope, never, negative!" another fan stated.
"@TonyKhan, please, for the love of God, never let this happen," a fan requested.

Jim Ross speaks about Shane McMahon possibly coming to AEW

Shane McMahon has spent the entirety of his professional wrestling career in the Stamford-based promotion. The 54-year-old has delivered several breathtaking matches during his career. McMahon was set to compete at WrestleMania 39. However, he unfortunately tore his quad right after the bell rang.

Speaking on the Grilling Jr. podcast, Jim Ross entertained the possibility of Shane McMahon potentially coming to All Elite Wrestling and working with Tony Khan.

"Yeah, it would. It’s so crazy that it might work, depending on how it was positioned and how it was introduced. Shane [McMahon] called me the other day; he’s called me two or three times, which I really appreciate. He’s always been sensitive in that respect. That’s only a question that Shane could answer. Shane and Tony Khan being togetherhow would that work creatively? Heck, who knows? Might be great! But in any event, that all depends on Shane and what he wants to do," Ross said.

Shane McMahon has not reacted to any rumors or news about his supposed arrival in Tony Khan's promotion. It will be interesting to see if he breaks the silence and addresses the rumor in the coming days.
