"Double standards," "WTF are you doing" - Tony Khan's 'hypocritical' booking sparks outrage among AEW fans 

Several fans have criticized AEW President Tony Khan for some booking decisions regarding two of the stars signed by his company. Some even called him double standards, as the treatment for both stars differed. This would be Chris Jericho and Ricky Starks.

Starks was recently pulled out from all his appearances on independent promotion GCW. It was reported that this may have been due to one of their stars, Effy, commenting on Khan's family.

However, last night, Chris Jericho appeared on the promotion and attacked Matt Cardona, as the two are currently engaged in a feud. They are set to clash for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle this Friday.

Several fans called out Tony Khan as they pulled out Ricky Starks but allowed Chris Jericho to appear on the show. They believed that this was a case of double standards.

"Ah yes, the double standards of #AEW & #TonyKhan are back at it again!!!" one fan claimed.

"Chris Jericho can go on GCW but not Ricky Starks WTF are you doing dude @TonyKhan," said another.

"Mean ole Tony Khan strikes again," another mentioned.

Others could not understand the situation. It seemed that TK did not want any of his talent to get close to GCW. Now, it seems that he let this happen because he had an agenda, which was to promote Jericho's match at Final Battle.

"Jericho can show up at a GCW show to attack Effy, but Ricky Starks had to be pulled from his GCW appearance because Tony was mad at Effy. Make it make sense. #FreeRicky," another wondered.

"So Ricky Starks gets pulled from GCW shows but Chris Jericho can show up at one cause it may help the ROH PPV. What the hell?" said another.

"Then why remove Ricky Starks?" a fan wondered.

Another AEW star was pulled out from GCW shows

As if the uproar over Ricky Starks' situation wasn't enough, a couple of days ago, it was reported that another talent, Willie Mack, who appears in AEW and ROH, was pulled from GCW shows.

There was confusion regarding the situation, but key persons from AEW made it clear that they did not pull him out of the show. Instead, they told him it wasn't a great idea to proceed. They claim it was ultimately Mack's decision.

It is safe to say that whether all this was orchestrated or not, it did not sit right with the fans, and it remains to be seen what this means for Ricky Starks and his bookings moving forward.
