Dustin Rhodes has won his first championship belt in a Tony Khan-led promotion along with a certain WWE Hall of Famer's sons. They were crowned earlier tonight during the AEW Battle Of The Belts XI. This would be The Von Erichs.
Marshall and Ross von Erich, the sons of wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich, recently allied with The Natural. This was a rare collaboration between two families considered to be wrestling royalty.
Tonight, they took on The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Roderick Strong) for the vacant ROH Six-Man tag titles.
It was a hard-fought match, as neither side wished to give in during the match. At a point, the Undisputed Kingdom had the referee distracted, which opened up the chance for Mike Bennett to hit Dustin Rhodes with a cowbell, but he still ended up kicking out at 2.

With the trio seemingly continuing to use dirty tactics, this forced Katsuyori Shibata, a known mentor of The Von Erichs, to take advantage of the referee once more being distracted. He, along with their father at ringside, took out two members of The Undisputed Kingdom.
This allowed Dustin Rhodes to hit his finisher and score a victory for the trio, which also earned them their first-ever title reign.
Some members of the locker room even came out to join in the celebrations post-match. It will be interesting to see how Tony Khan books the Champs moving forward.
