ROH World Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes, formerly known as Goldust, seemingly refused the idea of a retirement match against an absent AEW star. The absent star in question is Powerhouse Hobbs.

Dustin Rhodes has been on the professional wrestling scene since the late 1980s. The 55-year-old legend has wrestled in major promotions like WWE, WCW, and TNA Wrestling in his career and is currently signed with AEW since the promotion's inception back in 2019. Dustin currently holds the ROH World Tag Team Championship with Sammy Guevara and the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship with Marshall Von Erich and Ross Von Erich.

Although The Natural can still perform well in the ring, many fans have been wondering when the 55-year-old veteran might be retiring. An X/Twitter user pitched a creative idea saying Tony Khan should book Powerhouse Hobbs to retire Dustin at the AEW All In Pay-Per-View in Arlington, Texas, next year.

Interestingly, Rhodes noticed the tweet and gave his reaction to it as well. Dustin clapped back at the user, seemingly rejecting the idea by calling the latter "stupid" for suggesting such a proposition.

"You're stupid."

It remains to be seen what plans Tony Khan has in store for The Natural moving forward.

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes recently opened up on Dustin Rhodes' future in wrestling

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes have shared a great bond as brothers for many years. The two were together in AEW until Cody left in 2022.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Cody Rhodes admitted that Dustin's in-ring career is far from over:

"I’m not surprised because I can tell he’s not done. He hasn’t really told me what he wants to do next, but I can tell he’s not done," Cody Rhodes said.

Dustin continues to wrestle occasionally in All Elite Wrestling. Only time will tell what the future has in store for the 55-year-old legend.
