Dustin Rhodes knocks out 284 lb AEW star; seemingly ends grudge feud at ROH Final Battle

Dustin Rhodes exacted vengeance on an AEW and Ring of Honor star by knocking them out during a recent grudge match for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. The former WWE legend defended the belts at ROH: Final Battle 2024 alongside his tag partner Sammy Guevara.

For several weeks now, Vincent and Dutch have been engaged in a bitter rivalry with former AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara and revered veteran Dustin Rhodes. The feud gradually took on a personal tone as it developed, especially after Dutch invoked his own purported relationship with The Natural's father, the legendary Dusty Rhodes.

The two teams finally faced off in a Texas Bull Rope match for the ROH World Tag Team Titles at ROH: Final Battle, following the heels of The Righteous brutalizing Dustin in an ambush at the Rhodes Wrestling Academy. The Bizarre One showed up at the Hammerstein Ballroom with revenge in his heart alongside Guevara, who is no stranger to hard-core action himself.

The grudge between The Sons of Texas and Vincent and Dutch culminated in a violent war involving tables, ladders, and barbed wire. In the closing stretch of the bout, Guevara took out Vincent and proceeded to hand his partner his father, The American Dream's cowbell, which had been appropriated by Dutch previously. Rhodes proceeded to clobber the 284-pound heavyweight with the cowbell to secure the win and retain the tag titles, possibly bringing their feud with The Righteous to a close.

The Sons of Texas were last featured on AEW television in September, when they defended their championships against The Kingdom in a Bunkhouse Brawl.
