Dustin Rhodes has shared an interesting message on his social media handle. He has been on hiatus from AEW since last month.

The Natural last wrestled on the June 12, 2024, edition of Dynamite. He locked horns with Jack Perry to book a spot in the TNT Title Ladder Match at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view. Despite delivering a stellar performance, Rhodes lost to Perry.

A few hours ago, Dustin Rhodes took to X/Twitter to mention that he had "some huge news" for his fans. The former Intercontinental Champion added that he would share more details about his announcement soon.

"I have some huge news to share with you when it's time. #Beast," Rhodes wrote.

Jim Ross on WWE's potential stance on Dustin Rhodes' association with AEW

Before joining AEW, Dustin Rhodes achieved much success in WWE under the Goldust moniker. He worked with numerous legends like The Undertaker and Booker T.

On a recent edition of Grilling JR, wrestling veteran Jim Ross said Dustin Rhodes deserved to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. However, Ross added that the global juggernaut might not give the prestigious honor to The Natural due to his relationship with the Tony Khan-led AEW.

“He’s a Hall of Famer, without a doubt. I wonder if he’ll ever be enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame. He deserves it, but because of his relationship with Tony Khan and AEW, which is well deserved, it may never happen and that’s unfortunate."

The WWE Hall of Famer further detailed how Rhodes overcame his drug addiction.

"I feel close to him, I feel a kinship to him still today and it’s growing because I’m so proud of the fact that he’s not dependent on drugs and alcohol, [he] saved his life. There’s no way that Dustin would have been alive today if he had not made those changes.”
