WWE legend Dustin Rhodes has chosen to stay in AEW. He recently inked a new multi-year contract with Tony Khan's promotion.
The Natural has been part of the Jacksonville-based promotion since it launched in 2019. He is a regular in-ring competitor in Khan's other promotion ROH. Given his vast experience in the pro wrestling business, he also mentors younger talents in Khan's locker room.
Dustin Rhodes' contract expired in October 2024. A couple of days ago, he logged onto X (fka Twitter) to reveal that he had signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling and would stay in the promotion.
A few hours ago, he posted a follow-up tweet and claimed that AEW is his "home." It was a clear message suggesting that he loved being a part of Tony Khan's roster and wished to be in the company for a long time.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
"#AEW IS Home!!!"
While the All Elite fans were happy to hear that he re-signed with the company, the WWE Universe was upset that they might not see the Texas native return in the Triple H era.
"You need to be @AEW World Champion in 2025. You deserve it for all your hard work! Merry Christmas @dustinrhodes," a fan said.
"I’m so happy for you Dustin. God bless and keep stepping!" wrote this fan.
"If you say so. Would have loved for you to work with Cody one more time though," read a comment.
"And Dustin I know Tony is paying you to say that plus he using your talents to dust the the ring of Cody Cross," tweeted this user.
Dustin Rhodes thanks AEW President Tony Khan
Dustin Rhodes is savoring his run in AEW which is why he re-signed with the promotion. His run has been smooth sailing and he has Tony Khan to thank for it. In his announcement tweet, The Natural thanked Khan for believing in him and providing him with opportunities to prove himself inside the ring:
"I want to thank my boss @TonyKhan for every opportunity he has given me....I want to thank @TonyKhan for believing in me and relying on me in so many ways. I won't let you down."
The 55-year-old veteran is a double champion in ROH. He is popular among the fans by Goldust which is the name he used while working in WWE.
