AEW is approaching its seventh year in business, and industry newcomer Tony Khan has built himself a team of experienced veterans and rising talents. Khan's behind-the-scenes crew includes former WWE and TNA employees, as well as other newcomers to the business. Backstage sources have just revealed a very unfortunate story on one of Khan's closest confidants, and one of his original stars - Britt Baker.

DMD Baker began studying to be a dentist in 2014, the same year she began training to be a pro wrestler. The Pittsburgh native made her in-ring debut in August 2015, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in May 2018. When not wrestling for AEW, Baker works full-time at a private dental practice in Florida.

Will Washington was hired to work as AEW's Director of Wrestling Administration in April 2023. The longtime fan and podcaster currently serves as co-host of AEW Unrestricted, and helps with various backstage duties, such as long-term creative, live events, social media, and PR, among other areas. Washington works directly under Khan, who touted his "great wrestling mind" when announcing the hire.

Washington was allegedly had an embarrassing backstage moment at a recent AEW TV taping, according to Vince Russo. Speaking to EC3 and Dr. Chris Featherstone on SK's The Wrestling Outlaws, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion relayed a story he heard about Washington showing up to work with a toothache, and how he involved the former Women's World Champion.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

"Bro, you got this... do you guys know Will Washington? Will Washington was the guy from Fightful, who is now Tony Khan's right-hand man. He's to Tony Khan what I probably used to be to Vince McMahon, OK? So, this dude... he's got his own podcast where he's constantly marking out about working with talent, producing so-and-so, like... you could never see a bigger mark, right? So bro, the guy goes to TV, bro... he's got a toothache, and he's telling everybody that would listen, he's got a toothache. Meanwhile, bro, you're walking around guys that are concussed, that have torn muscles," Russo said. [From 4:21 to 5:17]

Vince Russo continued:

"Bro.. so he's bellyaching he's got a toothache, he's got a toothache... bro, guess what this mark does? [string on a door knob trick?] Even better... he goes to Dr. Britt Baker while she's in makeup, getting her makeup on, and asks her to look at his tooth. And people want to know what's wrong with the wrestling business? This is Tony Khan's right-hand man, going to Dr. Britt Baker, 'Can you look at my tooth?' Bro, come on... [how did Baker react?] 'Yeah, looks like it's abscessed.' That's what she said!," Russo said. [From 5:18 to 6:30]

EC3 chimed in on how he once saw AEW's real-life dentist for some dental work, but joked that he made an appointment, drove to her office, and paid cash like normal. Russo added that this is just embarrassing, and wondered how bad it would've been if he did something like this while working for McMahon.
