A top name arrived in AEW this past summer after heavy interest from WWE. The former dominant champion immediately aligned with another controversial star and became a thorn in the side of babyfaces like Britt Baker and Kris Statlander. The legendary Konnan is now weighing in on matters and how Tony Khan's booking has hurt things.

Kamille made her name in the NWA, where she had an 812-day reign as World Women's Champion. After arriving in AEW in late April as Mercedes Moné's bodyguard, the near-eight-year industry veteran made her All Elite in-ring debut on the July 31 Dynamite, squashing Brittany Jade. She won a 2-on-1 Handicap Match one week later, then defeated Robyn Renegade, Zoey Lynn, and Queen Aminata.

Kamille's first AEW loss came at Fright Night Dynamite against Kris Statlander, less than one month before Statlander failed to defeat Moné at Full Gear. Kamille had been booked as a dominant, no-nonsense powerhouse, which fit her style and her athletic background, but Tony Khan continues to draw heat for her creative direction.

Konnan and Disco Inferno discussed Kamille's booking on the latest episode of the Keepin' It 100 podcast. A listener brought up how Kamille is being used and asked if Konnan would advise her to ride the rest of her contract out, walk out on the company, or try and get pregnant so that she can sit the rest of her deal out, that is if she and husband Thom Latimer aka Bram want to start a family. The former nWo member pointed to how Kamille's tough character is already being "bullied" and beaten around backstage.

Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE

"Number one - ride it out, and number three... I wouldn't leave because she's making a lot of money, bro, but they got her too quick. They got to her way too quick, you know what I'm saying? And everybody's bullied her, hit her, from Britt Baker to... everybody, you know what I'm saying? Like, they could have made her special, and not get touched until she had a one-on-one match against somebody big," Konnan said. [From 0:20 to 0:45]

Kamille has continued to work indie dates since debuting for AEW. She defeated Carolina Cruz at a CCW event in August, then defeated Clara Carter at AML in late September.

Kamille quits on AEW Dynamite

Kamille has officially quit working for Mercedes Moné. This comes after the AEW TBS Champion and NJPW Strong Women's Champion defeated Kris Statlander at Full Gear on Saturday, only after telling her bodyguard to watch the match from catering as punishment for the recent loss to Statlander.

The CEO came out on Wednesday's Dynamite and praised Statlander for their match. She then mentioned how Kamille failed to get the job done, but before she could continue, The Brickhouse told her to shut up. Kamille then asked if Mercedes was stupid or just dumb, adding that she can't be fired because she quits.

Mercedes was shocked at Kamille's comeback, and the All Elite Wrestling crowd popped big for the apparent babyface turn. Kamille vs. Mercedes is rumored for AEW Worlds End next month.
