A former AEW star has taken on interesting new career paths. Pro wrestlers often leave one promotion for another, but rarely do we see talents go from the ring to full-time careers in other industries. After a recent release from All Elite Wrestling, a fan-favorite star has just revealed what they're up to, and why their in-ring career is on hold.

The Bunny aka Allie began wrestling in 2005. She found success in TNA Wrestling, CZW, Shimmer, Shine, and other promotions before signing with AEW when the company first launched. She was soon aligned with her husband, The Blade, and his tag team partner, The Butcher. The Canadian grappler suffered a broken orbital bone in February 2023 and missed several months of in-ring action. She wrestled just two more matches after that and was removed from the AEW roster last November as both sides agreed on an amicable split to end her four-year run with the company.

Allie, who once had an interesting storyline nixed, has not wrestled since September 6, 2023. The two-time Knockouts World Champion recently did a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing with The Blade, and revealed that she has decided to take some time off from the ring. The 19-year veteran is now focused on figure skating and acting.

"I’m figure skating right now and I’m loving it. I’m acting and I’m taking a little hiatus from breaking my body weekly… 19 years, I think I deserve a little break so, never say never but as of right now, I’m really enjoying my figure skating and acting. It’s very fun. But oh! And I have a project coming but I can’t talk about it yet but I do have a project coming which is very exciting. It’s horror-related," Allie said. [H/T: POST Wrestling]

Allie's first match after the injury came on August 16, 2023, at Fight for the Fallen as she lost to Britt Baker in just under eight minutes. The 36-year-old worked her last match on September 6, 2023, at the AEW Rampage tapings, teaming with Anna Jay and Taya Valkyrie for a nine-minute loss to Baker, Skye Blue, and Hikaru Shida.

Former AEW star on possibly going to WWE

The Bunny left AEW in late 2023 after signing with the company in its first year. Years before becoming All Elite, the Canadian star had a WWE tryout on the May 17, 2010 edition of RAW. She even appeared in a backstage segment with Goldust.

The former TNA Knockouts World Champion was not offered a contract, but she was invited to a WWE developmental tryout at FCW in March 2011. She went on to work for ROH, AAA, and numerous other promotions.

Allie took to Instagram a few weeks back and answered fans who were asking if she's interested in returning to wrestling, or perhaps a run with NXT. She responded with a bit of hope for her loyal fanbase.

"I'm really not sure. Never say never [black heart emoji]," Allie wrote.

Allie never held gold in AEW. In addition to being a two-time Knockouts World Champion, she held the Shimmer Tag Team Championship and the Shine Tag Team Championship with Kimber Lee. The former Cherry Bomb also held the WSU Championship.
