This week's Dynamite featured a segment involving a fake Swerve Strickland. Following the event, the person revealed his identity on social media.

Bobby Lashley and Swerve Strickland are slated to face each other at AEW Full Gear 2024 on November 23. Before the square-off at the upcoming PPV, Strickland exacted his revenge on Bobby Lashley on Wednesday night. He attacked him twice on the show.

Bobby Lashley had his in-ring debut on Dynamite this week. Before his match, MVP and Shelton tried to take care of Swerve to prevent him from interfering in his match. They searched for The Realest Star backstage and attacked a decoy who looked like him.

Later, the star who played Swerve's decoy revealed his identity with a three-word message on social media. It was Shaun Smith, and he reacted to his Dynamite segment on X (fka Twitter).

"Hey it's me," he wrote.

Smith is an independent wrestler who is also an enhancement talent in AEW. He has wrestled in Tony Khan's promotion before. On the November 2 edition of Collision, he partnered with Joe Keys to take on Brian Cage and Lance Archer of the Don Callis Family.

Former WWE star feels Swerve Strickland needs to stay away from TV for a while

Former WWE star Matthew Rehwoldt (fka Aiden English) recently commented on Swerve Strickland's feud with The Hurt Syndicate. Speaking on the REBOOKED Wrestling podcast, he stated that The New Flavor needs to go away from AEW for a while and let things build up during his absence.

"I feel like after the loss to Danielson, I felt like Swerve was gone or should have gone away for a bit, but they had to like tie up the Hangman stuff. Okay, he stays there. They do the cage with Hangman; brutal puts over Hangman. Then he did go away, but it was only like two or three weeks, and then The Hurt Syndicate came in, and they are messing with Nana, and Swerve comes back to answer that," he said.

He then stated that the former AEW World Champion should only return after The Hurt Syndicate adds a new member, such as Lio Rush, to the faction. This course of action would enable him to begin his journey as a hero in the promotion.
