During the latest edition of AEW Collision, interim EVP Christopher Daniels stripped a certain faction of their titles, and fans were unhappy with the decision. This would be The Bang Bang Gang.

Tonight, the faction revealed that Jay White was injured due to a blindside attack he received last week, and he would be unable to defend the Unified Trios titles. However, they tried evoking the Freebird Rule, which would allow the fourth member, Juice Robinson, to be the substitute, but ended up unsuccessful.

Christopher Daniels revealed that the rule was not used in AEW, so with too few members, they had to be stripped of the titles. He then announced that at a later date, they still had a chance to get them back, but they needed to earn this in a title match. The Patriarchy came out and staked their claim to the titles, and it seems like these two trios will be the two contenders.

Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?

Several fans were not happy with the decision by Daniels and management. Some even cited instances in AEW where the champions were not stripped of the titles. They named Wheeler Yuta, who missed six months but still kept his title, and MJF, who, despite having an injured partner, was able to defend the titles in a handicap match.

"Uncool CD," one claimed.
"But Yuta was gone for 6 months and never stripped of his pure title," another mentioned.
"Yet MJF was allowed to do this last year while Cole was injured, make it make sense," a fan wondered.

Another fan mentioned that the title match should happen next week at AEW Dynamite 250. Another was a little more optimistic about this, as it meant that Jay White would not be obligated to stick to the trios division and could go for a singles run.

"Dynamite 250 would be perfect," one mentioned.
"Worst thing that happened today," another claimed.
"Good. Get jay white back on a singles run," one suggested.

What happened last week on AEW that caused Jay White's injury?

Last week on AEW Collision, a chaotic main event went down during the semifinal matchup between Jay White and Hangman Adam Page as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Nothing was going well for The Switchblade at the time, as right from the beginning of the match, The Young Bucks had his stablemates banned from ringside.

At one point in the match, with the referee taken out, Hangman took the chance to continuously whip White with his leather belt, which forced Jeff Jarrett, who wanted to protect the integrity of the tournament, to interfere.

A new referee came in to usher Jarrett out of the ring and Christian Cage sneaked in and blindsided Jay White with a spear, which opened up the chance for Hangman Adam Page to hit his Buckshot Lariat for the win.

It seems that these multiple attacks on Jay White may have caused the injury, and it remains to be seen whether these are long-term or not.
