Tony Schiavone performs commentary on AEW Dynamite and Collision [Image Credits: Schiavone's X account]
A female AEW star confronted Tony Schiavone over the latter's controversial remarks from last month, on the latest episode of Collision. The talent in question is Mariah May.
May had appeared on the July 17 episode of the Wednesday night's show to address her betrayal of Women's World Champion and former mentor, Toni Storm, immediately after winning this year's Women's Owen Hart Cup and earning a title shot at The Timeless One at All In later this month. Her lengthy pause towards the beginning of her promo had prompted Schiavone to lose his patience and direct an expletive at May from the commentary desk.

The Fighting Princess appeared on the August 3 episode of Collision and headed straight for the announcers' table where Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness were on duty. May took a seat beside the former WCW announcer and asked him over and over if she could speak before hurling at him the same expletive that Schiavone had addressed her by last month.

Soon afterward, Toni Storm made her entrance for her match, although she immediately went after Mariah May, sparking a brawl in the process.
