A top AEW star returned to the promotion for the first time since April 2024. The star being discussed is Powerhouse Hobbs. He made his comeback after recovering from a knee injury to team up with Ricochet.

The 33-year-old star got injured during his match against Jon Moxley back in April when the former challenged the latter for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on AEW Dynamite. According to reports, he has been cleared since September and was also present backstage during AEW shows.

Recently, The Don Callis Family had cost Ricochet title opportunities multiple times. After the One and Only retaliated, Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita challenged the former United States Champion and asked to choose any opponent for a tag team match on Dynamite. The partner was kept a mystery until tonight.

The mystery associate was revealed as the returning Powerhouse Hobbs. He was absent for more than six months and is no longer associated with The Don Callis Family, as the former TNT Champion's contract with the faction expired. The duo defeated Kyle and Konosuke, with Ricochet pinning the International Champion.

It will be interesting to see what is in store for the stars now that Hobbs has returned to All Elite Wrestling from a lengthy hiatus.
