A top AEW name suffered a massive loss on the first Dynamite of 2025. The star, Orange Cassidy, lost to Hangman Page tonight.

The Cowboy and Freshly Squeezed failed to capture the AEW World Championship at the Worlds End pay-per-view. Jay White was also among the ones who couldn't take the title from Jon Moxley. The Death Riders again had the numbers advantage and helped the one true king retain the world title.

While the reigning AEW World Champion will face Adam Copeland and FTR on tonight's Fight For The Fallen edition of Dynamite, the previous contenders engaged in a gruesome match on the flagship show. Hangman and Orange traded blows in the opening contest of the night.

After going back and forth for a few minutes, Hangman Page took over the contest as he manhandled the former International Champion. When the Cowboy waited to hit the buckshot lariat on the apron, Cassidy cleverly moved to the side of the ring several times. The former finally hit the move to end the contest.

Following the contest, the former world champion hit two deadeyes on Orange Cassidy. Christopher Daniels came out to save the latter but was also the victim of Page's attack.

It will be interesting to see what is next for Hangman after the recent victory on Dynamite.
