A wrestling veteran recently shared his views on a former AEW star returning to WWE and reuniting with Bobby Lashley. The veteran in question is Booker T, who was talking about CJ Perry.

It was recently reported that CJ Perry is no longer a part of All Elite Wrestling, as she was released by the company as a part of its roster cuts in April this year. The former Lana has been open about her interest in continuing to work in the wrestling business as a manager, which has prompted speculations regarding The Mistress of Destruction potentially heading back to WWE.

On a recent edition of The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed the prospect of CJ Perry returning to WWE following her AEW exit. The former WCW World Champion speculated on the 39-year-old star potentially making her comeback to the sports entertainment juggernaut as Bobby Lashley's manager, arguing that joining forces with Perry could re-vitalize The All Mighty's current run.

"That might be something to reignite Bobby [Lashley] right back into the fold of things that's going on with WWE, Hurt Business doesn't seem to be working out the way I'm sure they would have liked it for it to work out but Lana coming back man, that would be a huge, huge get." (H/T Wrestling Inc)

Notably, Lashley and Perry were involved in a controversial romance angle in 2019, which also involved the latter's real-life partner at the time, Rusev. The storyline would later be scrapped, and The Bulgarian Brute would be released by WWE in 2020, opening the door for him to sign with AEW as Miro.

Bobby Lashley has his sights set on championship gold

Bobby Lashley is easily one of WWE's most popular superstars, having captured the respect and admiration of fans courtesy of his unmatched physical prowess and formidable in-ring skills. The leader of The Pride has been missing from action for some time due to injury, although he has been active on social media, where he shares periodic updates with his fans.

The 48-year-old star recently took to Instagram to post several pictures of himself with the WWE, United States, and Intercontinental Titles strapped around his waist. The caption to the post seems to indicate Lashley's goal of returning to championship pursuit once he comes back to action in the squared circle.

"Domination is for champions; competition is for everyone else. #TitleChasing #gettingready," Bobby Lashley wrote.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bobby Lashley and whether he will be accompanied by CJ Perry when he makes his eventual WWE return.
