A former AEW star has just been engaged to another individual in the business. The latter made the important announcement, as he was now engaged to Sonny Kiss.

Kiss can be considered one of the promotion's originals, as she appeared during their very first pay-per-view, AEW Double or Nothing 2019. She went on to remain with the promotion for another four years but as a frequent competitor on their Dark show. Eventually, the Concrete Rose departed from the company in 2023 after her contract expired.

On X/Twitter, Sonny Kiss' partner Billy Dixon revealed that she had said yes to his proposal and that they were now engaged. He did so at the recent Enjoy Wrestling event.

The former AEW star plans on signing with another major company

Sonny Kiss' last match in AEW was back in March 2023, when Dark was still being aired. In September of that year, it was revealed that she had not renewed her contract with the company and was a free agent.

As of writing, Sonny remains a free agent despite appearing on IMPACT Wrestling in October last year during their Intergender Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at Bound for Glory. Since then, she has mainly been competing in the independent circuit.

In an interview with PWInsider two months ago, Kiss talked about not wanting to stay a free agent for much longer. She talked about having some goals that she wanted to reach, including competing for any major promotion and facing the best the business has to offer.

“I don’t plan to be a free agent for very long. I made a vision board and it was one of the most liberating and inspiring things ever. Being able to see the things you plan to do and eventually knowing you’re going to start checking off each one is a beautiful feeling. I look at it every day because it’s the screensaver on my phone and I remember that these are my goals. These are the things that I want."

As of now, there has yet to be any information on her next potential destination, so fans can still catch her competing around the independent circuit.

We at Sportskeeda express our congratulations to the couple.
