Former AEW star Joey Janela recently provided a health update to his fans. He revealed that he had been hospitalized due to an unfortunate medical condition.
The 35-year-old star was one of All Elite Wrestling's first signees. After three years, He left the company after his contract expired on May 1, 2022. He was last seen inside the ring in a tag team match at GCW Don't Tell Me What To Do 2024.
Joey Janela recently took to X/Twitter to share that he was in pain for some time. When he went to the hospital to get it checked, the doctors found out that he had gallstone pancreatitis.
"Well I’ve been in pain for quite a while, worst the past couple days along with insane vomiting. I braved through it to do a something at the limp bizkit concert and today had to check into a hospital. Turns out I have gallstone pancreatitis," he wrote.

Janela added that he might have to go on a hiatus in August due to his medical condition.
"My August schedule is uncertain for the time being, and bills gonna be through the roof. I’ll be trying to get some merch out there, should be in here for a minute."
The fans might not see the DDT Extreme Champion for some time. However, they will be seeing more of another AEW star back in action.
AEW star Bryan Keith cleared for in-ring action
Bryan Keith was injured earlier this month, so he had to drop his DPW National championship. A recent report released by Wrestling Observer Live disclosed that The Bad Apple has been cleared for action.
He was suffering from a broken orbital bone, which he sustained in a three-way match against HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata on the go-home edition of Dynamite, which took place before AEW Double or Nothing.
As a result of his injury, he was out of action for six to eight weeks. Although injured, he was a regular on television, besides Chris Jericho and Big Bill. Additionally, it was reported that his recent arm injury on TV was a workaround for his real injury.
