Former AEW star reacts to Drew McIntyre mocking CM Punk with a 4-word message

A former AEW star reacted to the recent post of former world champion, Drew McIntyre mocking his rival, CM Punk yet again. Drew shared the post after his segment on RAW.

The former AEW star in question is Joey Janela. Janela was a part of Tony Khan's promotion from 2019 to 2021 and has been active on the independent wrestling scene ever since. Janela is seemingly on Drew McIntyre's side during his ongoing feud with CM Punk. McIntyre assaulted Punk last week on SmackDown and sent him to the hospital.

The Scottish Warrior showed up on the most recent episode of RAW and made it personal with Punk by mentioning his wife and disrespecting his dog, Larry. After his promo segment, Drew took to the 'X' social media platform to share a picture of Larry to mock the Second City Saint.

The former AEW star, Joey Janela took notice of Drew's post and responded supportively to the Scottish Psychopath. Janela reacted to McIntyre posting Larry's picture with a four-word message:

"About to grill em."

Veteran believes CM Punk could never turn heel again

The veteran sports journalist, Bill Apter believes it's hard for fans to turn against CM Punk at this stage of his wrestling career. Speaking exclusively on Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted, Apter stated the following:

"When Punk left the ring as the 'referee,' did you notice fans embracing him and yelling out CM Punk? No matter what he does, I don't think fans are ever gonna turn against him again. I mean, we are in Drew's hometown!"

Meanwhile, Punk is out of action currently after the assault by Drew McIntyre on SmackDown last week, which could be a part of the Kayfabe. Only time will tell when Second City Saint gets medically cleared to compete and challenges Drew to an actual bout.
