A top AEW star made a huge comeback at the Worlds End pay-per-view tonight and seemingly set his sights on a major championship. The star being discussed is Kenny Omega.
The Best Bout Machine has been away from in-ring competition for more than a year due to diverticulitis. He made his return to NJPW last month and set up a feud with Gabe Kidd. The duo will lock horns next month at the NJPW X AEW Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view.
Amid Kenny Omega's absence, The Young Bucks removed him from The Elite. Despite not being medically cleared, he returned to the company on May 1, 2024, and briefly confronted Kazuchika Okada but was taken out by the heel group.
Tonight, The Rainmaker retained his Continental Championship after defeating Will Ospreay in the final of the 2024 Continental Classic. Following the match, Christopher Daniels welcomed Kenny Omega back as fans went into a frenzy. The Cleaner handed the title to Okada and teased challenging for the Continental Championship.

Daniels also announced that the former World Champion would resume his duties as AEW's EVP.
It will be interesting to see when the former World Champion will wrestle his first match in the Tony Khan-led company following his comeback. Regardless, he will be in action at the Tokyo Dome on January 5, 2025.
