Chris Jericho claimed that a top AEW star's career is over after having a brutal match with him. The star being discussed is Samoa Joe.

The Jericho Vortex has been feuding with HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata, and Samoa Joe for weeks. Since the 25-year-old rejected Jericho's tutelage and went under Joe's wings, the former has been targeting the newly formed trio. At the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Samoa Joe and co. went against Jericho's group in a stellar match. The former FTW Champion then shockingly pinned the veteran.

On the recent edition of Dynamite, The Samoan Submission Machine collided with Chris Jericho in a Stampede Street Fight bout. After hitting each other with every weapon possible, the rest of The Learning Tree members helped him put Samoa Joe on the forklift and drove it through the wall, and Jericho was declared the winner. Joe was then ridden off through an ambulance.

The Ocho recently shared a picture on Instagram with Bret Hart and claimed to be celebrating the ending of Samoa Joe's career.

"Great time catching up with @brethitmanhart, Bruce Hart & Ross Hart last night at @hitmansbar after #AEWDynamite last night! #Hitmans was a great place with the perfect ambience to celebrate the end of @samoajoe’s great career! THANKS GUYS! 🌳👋 @aew," he wrote.

Reported reason why Samoa Joe was written off the TV after match with Chris Jericho

After the former AEW World Champion was put through a wall by Chris Jericho, the referee called off the match. Moments later, he was taken through an ambulance, implying he would be on a hiatus for a period.

According to certain reports, Joe will be in the second season of Twisted Metal and was, therefore, written off TV. The filming of the series will start in late July and end in October. He portrays the character of 'Sweet Tooth' in it.

It will be interesting to see if he can participate in the 2024 All In pay-per-view.
