Tony Khan recently announced that former WWE United States Champion Shelton Benjamin has signed for All Elite Wrestling. The 49-year-old made his in-ring debut on the latest episode of Dynamite, where he defeated Lio Rush.

Interestingly, Benjamin and MVP came face to face with The Acclaimed backstage during the show. MVP gave Max Caster his card and told the former AEW World Tag Team Champions to contact him when they were "ready to get serious." This segment happened in the absence of Billy Gunn. Interestingly, after Dynamite concluded, Caster began belittling Benjamin on X (FKA Twitter).

Max called the former Intercontinental Champion "a fake" tough guy." Furthermore, he stated that the 49-year-old was not needed in All Elite Wrestling.

It will be interesting to see whether The Acclaimed will join forces with MVP and Benjamin or not. Additionally, fans are speculating that the aforementioned segment was foreshadowing the trio's split.

After Shelton Benjamin's victory over Lio Rush, MVP delivered a stern warning to Swerve Strickland

Benjamin's AEW in-ring debut was truly impressive. He is still an immaculate wrestler with a bright future in the company. Interestingly, after the match, MVP picked up the microphone and delivered a promo, sending a message to former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland.

"Lio Rush in his youthful exuberance opened up his mouth, and Shelton closed it. Good try, Lio, good try. Swerve Strickland, I know you’re watching, and I want you to know that you need to reconsider your position because this is your future. And I believe that we need to finish the conversation that we started at WrestleDream. You and the Standard of Excellence, Shelton Benjamin!" said MVP. [H/T AEW official website]
