A former AEW World Tag Team Champion shared a cryptic message seemingly alleging not being treated kindly by the Jacksonville-based promotion. The star likely hinted at a departure from Tony Khan's company as well.

Rey Fenix of The Luchabros tag team has been an AEW Original, signing with the promotion in 2019. Apart from being a former World Tag Team Champion with his brother, Penta El Zero Miedo, he is also a former World Trios Champion ( with Miedo and PAC), and International Champion during his run with All Elite Wrestling.

Meanwhile, Rey Fenix has been rumored to depart AEW for the past few months as the speculations of his contract expiry surfaced. However, Tony Khan reportedly tucked in injury time on Fenix's contract, thereby not allowing him to leave for another year. Khan reportedly made lucrative deals for Rey to stay as well.

Amid all the speculations regarding his contract status and a possible move to WWE, Rey Fenix sent out a cryptic message on social media. Fenix took to his X (fka Twitter) account to seemingly hint at his departure from All Elite Wrestling, citing "inhumane treatment" in the promotion.

AEW star recently sent a message to podcasters

AEW star Rey Fenix recently addressed podcasters out there. He took to his Instagram handle to open up on the speculations regarding his contract status with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Fenix sent a message to the wrestling podcasters stating several things were not known to the public and shouldn't be talked about. He also urged them to remain professional while doing their jobs, and not to diminish a wrestler's work.

"There are many things that are not known, but that also should not be talked about. We must wait. Professionalism first and foremost, folks. We must not be the same as all those podcasts that go around spitting out what should not be spit out. Never diminish our work," Fenix said.

Moreover, Fenix's contract status still seems uncertain, and only time will tell what the future has in store for the Luchador.
